Job Description

Principal Purpose of Position:

The Website Management Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and optimization of our automotive dealerships' digital properties. This includes regular updates and adjustments precipitated by monthly sales strategies, OEM compliance restrictions, and best practice adoption. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in various backend platforms like Dealer Inspire, CDK, and S/he will oversee each website with considerable attention to detail, not only making adjustments for accuracy, but also leveraging opportunities to make improvements to the user experience and lead flow.

  • Manage websites with regular updates, including banners, hours of operation, staffing, and UX improvements
  • Work with internal Brand and Creative team to publish customer-facing content across email, web, social, and third-party properties
  • Complete website updates requested through ticket system and coordinate with appropriate vendor or team member to resolve in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of emails as well as landing pages based each store's marketing calendar
  • Manage monthly lease specials and global incentive publication, including QA, website creative, and digital promotion
  • Conduct regular website audits for user experience optimization. Provide recommendations for improvements to navigation, templates, layouts, and mobile rendering based on site analytics and best practices
  • Stay up to date on web providers' recent feature enhancements and make recommendations where appropriate

Education and/or Training:

  • 4+ year college degree or equivalent experience in marketing campaign management, marketing strategy, or project management.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 2-3+ years proven experience in an in-house marketing or agency environment, managing website front and back ends, with experience considering user experience optimization, site speed enhancements, and web platforms like WordPress. Interest in and knowledge of site layout and SEO trends, and brochure and ecommerce site best practices required.

Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge:
(Ranges from task-focused to integrating related functions, to broadly strategic integration)

  • Ability to independently interpret and manage strategic directives and translate them into results-based tactics for each of our 36 stores' websites
  • Meticulous project management skills, the ability to prioritize and deliver on a set schedule
  • Bias to continual improvement and collaboration across the marketing team's members as well as the stores' staff
  • Understanding of the lead flow process and how best in class websites optimize user click tracks to streamline the funnel and drive demand
  • Strong fluency in Google Analytics and the ability to set goals, establish benchmarks, and track across portfolio sites
