Holman Automotive Group has an outstanding opportunity for Vice President – Strategic Advisory & Investments.

What will you do?

  • Provide strategic direction and executive leadership to the identification of portfolio clients for Holman Strategic Advisory engagement and/or investment opportunities for Holman Strategic Ventures
  • Build strong relationships between Holman businesses and internal subject matter experts, startup businesses in the automotive space and 3rd party investors
  • Identify advisory client needs and gaps, and support the provision of advice to close those gaps
  • Support the strategic planning process for advisory clients and Holman equity investments
  • Identify needs of portfolio companies and determine whether Holman has the knowledge and resources to recommend appropriate solutions
  • Assign work to subordinates appropriate to their skills, capacity, and client needs
  • Frequently check in with Holman leadership and executive sponsors assigned to portfolio companies to ensure that all engagements are flourishing
  • Closely monitor trends in the automotive and technology spaces, particularly at the intersection of the two
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or other related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of leadership in venture capital, private equity, or portfolio management
  • Experience with the life cycle of startup companies and the ability to quickly pinpoint any opportunities to improve them
  • Significant knowledge of multiple aspects of the automotive industry and the technology industry
  • Advanced knowledge of leadership and management principals
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate with investment professionals across all spectrums
  • Able to hold performance conversations with employees, coach, counsel and provide feedback
  • Able to discuss business operations at a strategic level and discuss program operation and results
  • Able to influence others to perform work and gain program buy-in
