Job Summary

This role will be accountable for supervising plant production activities across multiple shifts and/or departments to produce products that meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies. Controls and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability.

What will you do?

  • The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing production schedules, evaluating and prioritizing work orders and assign to appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee the daily activities required to process the current jobs within established schedule. Supervise, train, counsel and motivate department employees.
  • Communicate and provide feedback to management regarding activities, issues and / or problems on jobs.
  • Prepare production reports, efficiency reports and other requested reports and distribute to appropriate personnel.
  • Review, correct and submit hours worked records for payroll processing.
  • Possess knowledge of assembly processes to limit scrap materials.
  • Ability to think your own and request assistance when needed
  • Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance
  • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing and disciplinary process for department employees

What are we looking for?

  • 3 to 5 year of work experience in automotive, truck based industry or manufacturing environment.
  • High School degree (GED or Equivalent) required; college degree highly preferred with
  • 1-2 previous supervisory experience highly desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook).
