Social Media Specialist

Principal Purpose of Position:

Digital Marketing Specialists will have a primary focus in one area of specialization with supporting roles in other areas of specialization; these areas include social media, marketing automation, and SEO and analytics.

Social Media

  • Administer the company’s social media profiles and presence ensuring up-to-date content, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
  • Create shareable forms of original content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.
  • Curate shareable content appropriate for specific networks to keep our audiences engaged during gaps in original content coverage.
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence to our website assets.
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences.
  • Monitor user engagement and provide suggestions for content optimization to Content Marketers
  • Run PPC advertising campaigns via Social channels and track their success.
  • Respond to comments and queries in a timely manner and perform crisis aversion on commentary or posts on social networks that may have a negative impact on our brand.
  • Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on social media progress towards goals.
  • Stay up to date with digital technology trends
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Marketing Automation

  • Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure mobile-friendly email templates.
  • Upgrade our email templates using graphics, GIFs, Video and advanced features such as dynamic content.
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Use A/B testing to optimize Open Rates and CTR
  • Report on prospect nurturing results, Open Rates and CTR generated from email marketing efforts.
  • Craft landing pages and lead generation forms for email campaigns to increase conversion rates.
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with digital technology trends
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

SEO and Analytics

  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations.
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns.
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links, and SEO keyword rankings.
  • Develop and implement link building strategy
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming.
  • Collect and analyze data for all campaigns, identify trends and insights to assist in achieving digital marketing goals for Reach, Engagement, and Conversion.
  • Stay up to date with digital technology trends
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Relevant Work Experience:
  • 3 Years’ experience administering social media profiles for organizations, executing CRM-integrated email marketing campaigns, or managing SEO for web assets.
