This position is focused on new business development for ARI Remarketing with a specific emphasis on finance and dealership clients. Experience in the automotive industry interacting with banks, credit unions and dealerships is critical.     

 

Individual will leverage their previous experience in the areas of Consumer Finance or Credit Unions to prospect and cultivate new business for the 3rd party remarketing product at ARI.  In addition to these institutions, the rep will call on small to midsize dealerships and dealership groups to market the benefits of allowing ARI’s brand and auction presence to enhance their overall experience and net return at auction. The rep will also work with existing ARI auctions partners to solicit their participation in generating additional volume in their lanes for ARI.  Lastly, the rep will prospect in cooperation with ARI sales and customer service employees to identify and market this product to current clients who do not use or underuse our remarketing services.

 

Responsible to leverage existing network contacts in the Automotive Finance, Repossession and Dealer markets to generate new business for ARI remarketing.

 

 

 

What will you do?

  • Prospecting - Proactively prospect, develop and call on leads within the target industries to move prospects through the sales cycle; from discovery to closing the deal.
  • Time Management - Manage all aspects of the job effectively: prospecting, client retention, and territory management.
  • Networking/Product Management – Participate in local and annual conferences targeting small finance companies and credit unions.  Develop relationships with dealers, dealer groups and auctions in order to generate business. Interact with prospects and customers to develop expanded vehicle remarketing relationships that result in current and future sales opportunities.
  • SalesForce.com  – Must effectively utilize this tool to properly manage the sales prospecting and follow up of all leads.  Maintain and update the SalesForce.com database to ensure ARI’s inclusion in sales solicitation opportunities.
  • Content knowledge – ability to effectively present ARI’s Vehicle Remarketing programs, capabilities, and differentiators. 
  • Client Retention - Interacts with Leadership, Client Relations, and various departments to promote client retention.

What are we looking for?

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, to all levels of management, staff, customers and prospects.
  • Must have specific experience in either the loan origination, customer service, loan servicing and/or repossession activities of a consumer automotive finance or credit union entity.
  • Previous new or used car retail dealership knowledge a plus.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Must be a driven individual and have a strong desire to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Must be able for moderate travel to locations involving overnight lodging.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience required.
