Position Title: Logistics Business Development Rep
Department: Operations and Logistics
Reports to: Operations and Logistics Manager

Principal Purpose of Position: Our Business Development Representative will cultivate creative logistical solutions for OEM’s that have not previously worked with us or are not utilizing our logistical services to the full potential. The Logistics BDR primary responsibility is to evaluate each OEM’s unique business need and collaborate with Holman Parts Distributions Sales and Operations Teams to gain revenue generating contracts for logistics and distribution services. Our representative will achieve quota by meeting expected metrics for connections made and presentation appointments set for their respective prospects.

 

  • Research and document the various OEM core collection processes within the United States.
  • Research and identify industry events to attend and to participate in.
  • Research, document, and become a subject matter expert in the Holman Parts Logistical services processes (core collection and distribution).
  • While attending industry events a focus on networking, contact building, and follow up will be required and documented.
  • Create monthly reports for progress made with all OEM’s.
  • Research and evaluate potential competitors in this space.
  • Research and document OEM distribution models.
  • Develop Professional and High-Impact presentations to use in the prospecting portion of the cycle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns, presenting to a large group in a consultative approach and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate strong relationships with prospects from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service.  Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI and Excel)
  • Technology hardware and software systems (PC, laptop, tablet, smart phone)
  • Salesforce CRM a plus

Relevant Work Experience:

Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of diligence and accountability
  • Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition
  • Relentless persistence in the face of daily rejection and delays from potential merchants
  • An aptitude for research and analysis
  • Experience in business-to-business sales.
  • 2+ years of proven success in a sales environment
