Position Title (Job Code):  Manager - Global HR Operations

Reports to (Title):  Vice President, Global Human Resources
Number/Type of Employees Supervised:  1 – Supervisor; 5 analysts indirectly

Principal Purpose of Position:

  • Lead the HR Operations team- providing oversight for process improvement, team development, the efficient use of technology and overall accountability
  • Partners with other HR Center of Excellence leaders as it pertains to Workday and other HR technologies
  • Oversee creation, approval, maintenance, and adherence to the HR Operations strategy and technology roadmap; research and develop plans to help team achieve goals
  • Oversee HR Operations implementation projects, ensure appropriate project management for implementations and the constant communication and status updates for all key stakeholders
  • Manage relationships and liaises with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
  • Identify the needs for support and training for team members for the overall development and maturity of the HR Operations function
  • Manage HR System maintenance including: data integrity, security compliance, process compliance, business process design, integration health
  • Improves internal processes through the use of technology that create easier processes for the business and increases productivity for HR Operations team members
  • Oversees the development of useful people analytics for the business
  • Sets clear goals for team members and partners with them through coaching, development, stretch assignments and performance feedback to ensure they reach their goals

Education and/or Training:

  • BA/BS in HR related field required
  • Full understanding of HRIS applications (specifically Workday) and extensive knowledge of HR technology and the applications of them to the business
  • Ability to perform in-depth analysis and use data to arrive at valid conclusions in order to make recommendations or create plans of action
  • Extensive, expert knowledge of Microsoft Suite, in particular Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Superior project management skills
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in dealing with matters of significant confidentiality

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 7+ years of progressive general HR experience; at least 5 of which concentrated on analytics, project management or technology
  • Experience leading and developing a team of professionals with varying degrees of skill/experience

Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge:
(Ranges from task-focused to integrating related functions, to broadly strategic integration)

  • Ability to create strong project management trackers and use them to drive accountability for large scale enterprise wide projects
  • Ability to multi-task and handle many conflicting priorities while using sound judgment to continuously assess and set priorities for self and the team

Communicating & Influencing Skills:

  • Superior written and verbal communication; experience addressing and communicating with all levels of the organization at the enterprise level
  • Ability to take complex, data related technology applications and converse in common terms so that anyone can understand them
