Principal Purpose of Position:

New to the Holman Automotive Group, the content strategist is instrumental in telling the Holman Automotive story and the brands in which it represents. With direction from the Marketing Manager of Digital and Branding – and in collaboration with a team of designers and agency partners – you will help shape the vision and voice of one the automotive industry’s most prominent groups. The content strategist is responsible for the development, distribution, and ongoing management of a variety of marketing content. Flex your creative muscles in helping bring a cohesive voice and long term vision to brands ranging from Ford, BMW and Rolls Royce. As a strategist, you must understanding emerging trends in the digital content space and scale concepts to be effective, and efficient, across all channels. If you love to translate your vision through compelling copy or the lens of a camera, we want to give you a platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain content calendars
  • Complement marketing calendar with integrated content strategy
  • Stay up to date with all manufacturer and regional programs. Plan ahead according to manufacturer product pipeline
  • Proven content writing experience. The ability to convey multiple brand voices under the Holman umbrella
  • Understanding of the larger marketing mix and how content fits in
  • Work closely with analytics teams to understand why content performed the way it did and make adjustments
  • Identify and develop local contributors to enhance content efforts
  • Contribute to the development of creative and content strategy
  • Develop and help execute new campaigns throughout all channels
  • Coordinate with Social Media managers and agency partners for campaign execution
  • Develop and implement content for web, blog posts, email campaigns, infographics, and script writing
  • Work closely with our clients to achieve brand voice

Education and/or Training:

  • Four-year college degree, preferably in a marketing-related program

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 5+ years proven experience managing social and digital channels and developing content plans and strategy in a fast-paced environment

 

Requirements:

  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing campaigns and content development
  • Excellent and proven writing, editing, and content development skills
  • Basic graphic or web design skills; advance knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Strong understanding of digital workflow management with Lightroom, FCPX/Premier Pro
  • A technical understanding of DSLRs for use with photography and videography
  • On the cutting edge of latest trends and best practices
  • A passion for storytelling, social media content, and the automotive industry
  • Strong content and editorial judgement

Communicating & Influencing Skills:

  • Exceptional aptitude for building relationships and trust with senior sales leaders and management as well as remote team members and industry partners
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain metrics and data to stakeholders at varying levels
  • Ability to manage workload independently and autonomously, with the instincts to escalate issues appropriately
  • Written and verbal communication skills that earn the respect and attention of leadership and peers and open the lines to effective communication.
