Job Description

Business Analyst - Consulting:

What will you do?

  • Participation in client engagements as assigned by Supervisor
  • Completion of project portions to support Supervisor direction
  • Development and analysis of components for client deliverables
  • Completion of stretch assignments as required by Supervisor
  • Engage with clients and prospects to uncover needs, challenges or goals, map out project objectives and deliverables, design custom solutions and establish timeline for consulting project completion working primarily with ARI’s core customer base
  • Deriving business insight and developing recommendations by leveraging industry knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art advanced analytic and quantitative tools, modeling techniques, and data mining procedures.
  • Identify and leverage subject matter experts and resources within other departments at ARI as necessary throughout duration of project
  • Utilize reporting tools to gather data for review and analysis
  • Create final deliverable in a variety of formats (formal papers, PowerPoint, etc.) to summarize completed analysis, best practices or recommendations and present all findings directly to client
  • Consults clients in various levers of the fleet cycle with an emphasis on providing evidence based solutions to asset management challenges.
  • Participate in and present information to clients & prospects during meetings to support ARI sales efforts

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in performing data analysis and ability to perform research using the internet, industry publications, and other research tools.
  • Strong Skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau, Business Objects or other business intelligence reporting tools preferred.
  • Prior experience in a professional environment.
  • Prior experience working with data and making well developed recommendations.
  • Prior experience which includes client engagement/customer service.
  • Strong analytical skills for effective problem solving
  • Must be able to prioritize a wide range of functions, multi-task, meet deadlines, possess good follow-up skills, while paying close attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within a team
  • Must be able to think critically at a strategic level
  • Demonstrate leadership of projects assigned with clients or internal personnel
  • Must have excellent communication skill: verbal, written and visual.
  • Must be able to produce formal deliverables (written, visual storyboard, presentation) to communicate analysis findings.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Excellent presentation skills are required.
  • Strong customer service background and keen listening skills.


  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Valid Passport - Some travel may be required in Canada or US (up to 25%)
