Holman Automotive has an exciting opportunity as part of the Corporate Analyst Program to join the retail accounting team as an Assistant Controller on the West Coast. On assignment as the Assistant Controller you will report directly to a Multi-Dealership Controller in supporting accounting management in one of our 4 Western Region platforms.

Job Description:

  • Oversee general accounting office and immediate supervision of office employees
  • Work collaboratively with Centralized Accounting to ensure the bi-lateral flow of information for efficient and accurate processing of transactions
  • Perform managerial accounting functions, review financial information, prepare budget/actual analysis as directed by the Multi-Dealership Controller
  • Monthly close of books and preparation of monthly financial package for one location in the region
  • Work closely with all departments in both accounting and operational capacity
  • Numerous miscellaneous accounting functions and special projects performed on a regular basis

Education and/or Training:

  • BS Degree in Accounting
  • Master’s Degree and CPA designation a plus
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial statement presentation
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications - especially Excel and Word

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years prior accounting experience
  • Dealership and/or automotive related experience strongly preferred
  • Willingness to relocate for each assignment - Relocation assistance provided
