JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Dealer Account Representative is an outside account management position that serves as the primary contact between the company and its assigned dealers in a given territory. The Dealer Account Representative ensures that the company and its OE partner’s requirements and policies and procedures are upheld. Maintains relationships with dealer body through regular contact, ensures that dealer needs are met. Supports the wholesaling dealers outside sales teams in their effort to maintain and develop new wholesale opportunities and assists the dealers in growing their retail business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Executes regularly planned sales visits to assigned dealers in the territory; providing greater attention to Certified Parts Wholesaling Dealers and Powertrain stocking dealers
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all of the Ford programs/rebates
  • Target wholesale opportunities with dealership parts departments’ OSRs
  • Plan and participate in assigned wholesale market sales blitzes
  • Plan and assist in dealer events such as open houses and technical training
  • Participate and promote joint marketing events
  •  Assist the dealer and company Customer Support Group in all aspects of customer service issues (billing, delivery, core, warranty etc.)
  • Provide input on opportunities for campaigns to increase sales through the Ford channel
  • Provide industry and market intelligence to the company
  • Provide regularly scheduled reports to the internal and external management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX and the CRM module
  • Travel to customer locations required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
