Auto Truck Group has an outstanding opportunity for a Forklift Operator (2nd shift) based in our Bartlett, IL location.

What will you do?

  • Unload incoming materials, check identification, report shortages, damaged material, and move materials to proper storage or designated work areas.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all elements all year round including office and warehouse.
  • Fill orders and pick tickets from storage areas and warehouse.
  • Assist and participate in conducting cycle counts.
  • Understand and monitor inventory levels of outside parts – notify of shortages.
  • Verify receipts against delivery manifest and/or purchase order.
  • Assemble orders for pickup or for loading on delivery truck.
  • Will be responsible for becoming certified to operate power equipment.
  • Verbal communication skills on company approved electronic communication system with employees – setting equipment, lifting, stacking and moving.
  • Working knowledge of inventory, parts, proper usage and function of materials.
  • Ability to learn inventory by description, along with the part numbering system.

What are we looking for?

  • 1-3 years prior experience with operating a forklift.
  • Prior experience in warehouse / materials environment
  • Pass the forklift operations test for certification.
  • Safely operate and maintain forklift while moving / storing loaded pallets.
  • Daily documented inspection of forklift – must notify proper personnel for needed repairs/maintenance.
  • Must be able to correctly use all required safety equipment.
  • Must be able to perform within the established company standards, which include but are not limited to standard operating procedures, quality and performance.
  • Must possess the ability to gain the knowledge and understanding of work orders.
  • Must pass a physical, drug screen, and criminal background check prior to employment.
