KNOW-HOW

Education and/or Training:

  • Some secondary education preferred
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) training a strong plus

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics a strong plus

Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge:

  • Possess a high level of personal accountability
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • High level of mechanical aptitude

Communicating & Influencing Skills:

  • Strong computer skills: Required experience in MS Office. Additional experience with ERP, MRP, or BOM management system is a plus

  • Compare sales quotation, customer’s purchase order, and job contents to identify the correct parts required for our range of upfitted vehicles that meet the customer’s needs
  • Review orders to identify and correct errors and inefficiencies before internal/external customer are impacted
  • Visualize the upfit process and provide work instructions and procedures necessary so that installation mechanics have the correct parts and details needed for an efficient build that meets the customer’s expectations
  • Routine interaction with sales, engineering, operations, suppliers and customers should be expected
  • Continually review and monitor available templates for compliance with current product applications, processing standards, supply chain strategy as well as fitment and compatibility between selected components. Document and communicate resulting template changes
