ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Analyze accounts receivable trends
  • Collect and reduce delinquency on past due amounts on all assigned  accounts
  • Perform cash application reconciliation
  • Assist customers in resolving their delinquency
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Prepare and process journal entries for management
  • Maintain and keep consistent customer database to accurately track ongoing activities with detailed notes
  • Perform regular customer credit reviews with special focus on closed or bankrupt accounts
  • Process monthly delinquency reports
  • Follow standard invoicing process
  • Ensure that customer invoices are accurate, complete and delivered to the customer in a timely manner
  • Prepare and submit accurate customer invoices within accordance of the terms and conditions of the customer’s agreement
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High school diplomas or equivalent reading, writing and arithmetic skills.   Knowledge of relevant federal regulations and the Fair Debt Collection Protection Act.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read, write, and speak in English. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to perform basic math functions: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

COMPUTER SKILLS:  High functioning ability in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.  Experience using accounting software. 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to analyze information and draw logical conclusions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
